Refinery Information Systems (RIS) Section Head

Mr. Ahmed Al Naqbi is Refinery Information Systems (RIS) Section Head in Information Technology Division of ADNOC Refining. He is responsible to direct, supervise and coordinate the activities of the Refinery Information Section and develop the competency of the IT staff in order to enable them provide cost-efficient Information system operations on Refinery Information Systems (RIS) and Sub-Systems namely Production Planning, Production Scheduling, Pricing, Supply Chain, Oil Movement Management, Production Accounting & Data Reconciliation, Energy Balancing Management, Target/Case Database, KPI Generator, Operating Windows, Operator Logbook & Target Board, Real Time Analysis, Report Generator, Operation Data Store, Portal & Dashboard System, Workflow Management & Alerting, Integration System & Infrastructure within HQ and the refineries in Abu Dhabi and Ruwais.

Mr. Ahmed Al Naqbi holds a B.Eng (with Honours) in Computer Engineering from Khalifa University of Science, Technology and Research since 2010. His involvement in leading IoT projects within UAE Governmental Sector accelerated his awareness in the growing demand of Digital Transformation.

Mr. Ahmed Al Naqbi made a remarkable bridge between the IT and OT within ADNOC Refining that helped in fostering new relationships and revolutionizing the culture in the past decade. His continuous curiosity and familiarity with both fields complimented his strategic roadmap of Management-of-Change for ADNOC Refining management and employees. Mr. Ahmed makes sure to the align between Digital Strategies and Business Objectives. He is also a high-profile contributor in youth empowerment as a member of the ADNOC Refining Youth Council

Ms. Alya Al Marzooqi

Department Manager, Corporate Information Security (DM-IS)

Ms. Alya Al Marzooqi is the Department Manager – Corporate Information Security (DM-IS) of Abu Dhabi Polymers Company Ltd (Borouge). She is responsibility leading the Information Security Management Systems for developing, maintaining monitoring compliance of all information security policies and procedures for Information Technology and Industrial Control systems Networks. Integrate Information Security Framework and enterprise Cyber Risk Management with security policies and information protection strategies. She acted as a focal point for all the Information Security Programs’ activities and responsible to form and establish the Cyber Incident Response Management Teams IT & ICT to perform and guide the full investigation processes with recommended sources of actions. She has established the Information Security Awareness Program for Borouge employees and partners. She has effectively prepared and allocated the financial forecasts for Security operational expenditures and proper maintenance to the cover the information security assets. She has developed and lead the IT Disaster Recovery strategy and lead the actual IT Disaster Recovery Drills and Rehearsals. She is promoted to be the Availability Manager for assurance of all the Services availability and continuously operations.
Her expertise includes evaluating the risks and controls related to managing a company’s enterprise-wide technical processes, performing detail security assessments, and implementing business continuity solutions.

In her role as a (DM-IS) , Ms. Alya leads the Information Technology Group of Borouge in providing the IT Security, Privacy, Risks and Business Continuity Management solution segments, overseeing related assessments. Ms. Alya has performed detailed Cyber Security Risk Assessment, IT Disaster Recovery, Security Operations Center and business continuity projects for IT Group by evaluating controls related to various aspects of the organization’s technical infrastructure. She had created and executed strategies to improve the reliability and security of IT/ICS projects and other business projects. These projects consisted of an analysis of the existing control structure, reviewed for compliance, security architecture, vulnerabilities, and assisted in the implementation of remediation solutions. Security evaluations consisted of internal and external IT vulnerability assessment, privacy reviews, Risk evaluations, and Internet application security assessments.

Ms. Alya has involved in writing UAE Business Continuity Management Standard Guideline (AE/SCSNS/NCEMA 7001:2015). She is certified Implemented for ISO 27001 and has been certified as Certified Professional Manager from the Institute of Certified Professional Managers.
Ms. Alya has been awarded the Middle East Security Awards & Conference CISO-100 – For Government Security Leaders in 2017.
Ms. Alya holds an Honor degree of Master of Science degree in Cybersecurity from the Zayed University of Abu Dhabi, UAE, Bachler’s degree in Information Security from the UAE University and Diploma in Crisis Management from British Collage. Prior being the DM-IS of Borouge IT, Ms. Alya has worked in various government entities on the Security and governance field. She brings in to Borouge a strong portfolio of experience from the other government entities.
